There is an engraved crest on the base.


Maker's Mark: incomplete, a crowned fleur-de-lis, two grains, a P(?) a star(?), or cinquefoil(?), the Christie's list gives the maker as Pierre Jarrin, but his name is not in either Dennis, or Nocq, so it cannot be confirmed. Warden's Mark: 1714-1715: a crowned X (Dennis, 100). Charge Mark: 1712-1717: an A on an inverted crown (Dennis, 100). Discharge Mark: 1712-1717: a cock with a raised right claw (Dennis, 359).
