ARMORIALS: engraved on the base, a coat of arms; engraved on the center light and on each detachable waxpan, a crest; both are identified: Dickinson quartering Fuller and impaling Smith for William Dickinson, Esq., of Kingweston, co. Somerset, b 1 Nov 1771, MP for Somersetshire in 7 successive Parliaments, m1803 Sofia, eldest dau of Samuel Smith, Esq., of Woodhall Park, co. Herts. He died at Naples 19 Jan 1837, s. by his eldest surviving son.


The same for both candleabra. on the side of the base, maker's mark MB(K.C.Jones, 1981, p357); lion passant; anchor; sovereign's head; date letter f (1803/4).
