(bought at Cave sale, information from back of picture, could not be documented). By 1878, Stephen Higginson Perkins; 1878, bequeathed by Stephen Higginson Perkins to the MFA [see note 1]; 1928, returned to Perkins' heirs; 1936, MFA (gift of Perkins' heirs).
