Probably a drawing of a brooch, colored gouache on cut-out black paper, it llustrates a stylized scroll divided at one end curving in two directions. It shows a white metal setting with the scroll parts consisting of round, baguette, and rectangular diamonds with three clusters of blue cabochons.


Before 2006, in collection of Alan Cutler, Miami Beach, FL; June 8, 2006, purchased at Christie's auction in New York City by Frederic A. Sharf, Chestnut Hill, MA; gift of Sharf and his wife Jean to the MFA (Accession date: September 16, 2009)
