This cup has a rounded base, straight sides that narrow towards the top, and a straight, unworked rim. The exterior is treated with a red slip. The bottom of the interior shows some signs of burning/blackening.

Provenance

From Nuri, Pyramid 31 (tomb of Queen Sakaaye). Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession Date: August 21, 2006)
