Color in 3-D; Painted Sculpture at the MFA

How does the use of color affect our investigation of and reaction to sculptural form? How is color used to emphasize or highlight key areas of focus in three-dimensions? For this week's tour, we'll take a look at a wide variety of painted sculpture at the MFA and discuss the history and reasoning behind each. We'll also consider how color can direct our attention and movement around a form in fully three-dimensions and consider sculptural form in comparison to two-dimensional painting.
