Goals:

(Overview & big concepts)

Look at gods and goddesses from throughout the MFA collection, learn to identify symbols and clues that show us each deity’s character traits and tell us a story

MFA Connections:

254A chapel, Buddha room, Ganesha, Egyptian mummies

Art-making activity:

Many of the gods and goddesses we looked at have super powers and super accessories that go with them! Make an accessory a god or goddess of your own invention could wear.

Pre-tour group activity:

Read some Greek and Roman myths

Follow-up activity:

Write a short story about the adventures of your invented god or goddess
