Class Topic: Coins of the Ancient World

Goals (Overview and Big Concepts):
To learn about the different uses for coins. Coins can not only be used for as money, but also can tell larger stories. Students will leave the lesson with an understand of the stories behind different coin designs as well as the importance of coins to different societies. They will also design and make foil coins to take home!

Pre-Activity: Coin Rubbing

Follow-UP Activity: Visit the Massachusetts State House Time Capsule and find names of currencies in a word search puzzle
