Black-topped redware slender ovoid jar

Slender ovoid black-topped redware jar (B ware). The base is flat and very small. The rim is rolled and everted. There are wheel marks around the interior of the rim. It is a very nice pot. The surface is worn.

Provenance

From Mesaid tomb 23, no. 21 [M/23/21]. 1910: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
