Beer jar (Slender shouldered jar)

Beer jar of Nile Silt clay with direct rim, very short neck, and pointed base: complete. Body of the vessel is handmade (probably through coiling) while the rim was turned on a wheel or other turning device. Surface is untreated.

From Giza, G2330A. 1912: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
