Bag-shaped jar

This bag-shaped jar is fashioned of a buff-colored marl clay. Its rounded base comes almost to a point. Its upper body narrows to a constricted, concave neck that flares to a rolled rim.

From Kerma, Cemetery S, Tumulus III, grave 322. 1914: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession date: July 12, 2006)
