Inscription

In the top border, there is an inscription of the description of the painting in bhojpuri. There are some designs in the left and the right borders. There are some words are written on the drawing.

Provenance

Given to the MFA in 1917 by Denman Waldo Ross. Purchased in 1917 from Ananda Coomaraswamy. Purchased by Coomaraswamy in India prior to 1916.
