On reverse, in Devanagari (translated by Coomaraswamy): When Lord Krishnaji said, 'It is your sin that ye bathed in the river naked on the day of your fast': (then) having taken to heart the Lord's admonition, they made obeisance."

Given to the MFA by Denman Waldo Ross in 1917. Purchased from Ananda Coomaraswamy in 1917. Purchased in India prior to 1916.
