Obverse: at top, in Devanagari, sri paatsaar shah Jahan, and vadamahabat khan (the senior mahabat khan). Also, identification of colors to be used in the kamarbund: safaed(white), and ungrurkhaa(skirt) : badaami (almond).

Provenance

Given to the MFA in 1917 by Denman Waldo Ross. Purchased in 1917 from Ananda Coomaraswamy. Purchased in India prior to 1916.
