On obverse, in rondels in top and bottom margins: brief titles in Persian or Urdu (to be read). On reverse, in brown ink, in English: "Krishna God with Radja and Gopis/ Collection Josen Banks/ Delhi, India 1909/1921"

Provenance

Given to the Museum by Gino Perera in 1956. Notation on reverse indicates former collection Josen Banks, possibly in Delhi, with dates 1909-1921.
