Given to the MFA by the Honorable George Tinkham in 1943. Removed from Java by Mr. Tinkham in 1931, with documentation from P. V. van Steen Callenfels, Acting Director of the Archaeological Serivce of Netherland India, stating that the head is from Candi Sewu.
