- band at top of neck: "Lasting might, growing success, ascending luck to its owner" - at base of neck: "Lasting might, immune life, enduring good fortune, for ever, to its owner" - at base of handle, repeated twice on each side facet: "Lasting might i[mmune] life" - underside: "Lasting might, immune life,/ auspicious fate, godliness, for ever, until his burial to its own[er]!/ Helping desiny, rising luck!
