Art of the Americas: The American Revolution

This online gallery includes famous paintings of men, events and artwork during the American Revolution. Students will be able to study and reflect on each piece of art describing how the artist has captured the essence of the person and the significant events that occurred during this time period in early America. Learning Goals: Describe the life and achievements of important leaders during the Revolution and early years of the United States. Using this Resource: Each slide has associated questions to be answer and then they will present their findings to the class either individually or in small groups. This artwork is currently on exhibit at the MFA for students to visit on a field trip during the study of the American Revolution.
