Dark blue cap with flat crown worn by members of the Buginese royal family, main body of the cap made of palm fiber with stylized inscription of the name Muhammend plaited in; central circle and band around lower edge of cap made of plaited flat gold wire.

By 1965, Raja Gowa Bone, South Sulawesi, Indonesia; about 1965, sold by Bone to Chinese private collection, Singapore; about 1993, sold from private collection to Thomas Murray, Mill Valley, California; 2006, sold by Murray to the MFA. (accession date: June 21, 2006)
