By 1874/5: Lowell D. Allen Collection (said to have been purchased by him in Rome in winter of 1874/5 from a private collection); December 1886: purchased by MFA from Lowell D. Allen for $ 100.00 (this is the total price for MFA 86.155 and 86.156)
