Trial piece with die stamp of silver dekadrachm Obverse: Archaic head of Athena to right, wearing a crested helmet enriched with three upright olive leaves. Sharp raised ridge around circular field. Reverse: Plain, with possible centering mark in middle.

Said to have been found on the Acropolis in Athens; by date unknown: with Dr. Hugo Weissmann, 96 Charles Street, Boston, Mass.; December 11, 1958: purchased by MFA from Dr. Hugo Weissmann, for $ 400.00
