Tall shoulder jar

It has a slightly everted rim and a flat base. The stone is fine-grained. There are horizontal narrow bands of white and brown. Holes are drilled for suspension on the sides. It is broken and mended. Fragments are missing. The rim is chipped.

From Giza, Menkaura (Mycerinus) Valley Temple. Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt.
