The stone is fine-grained. It was used as mortar for grinding ore. The base is flat, and the rim is plain. The rim is nicked. Otherwise, it is complete and in good condition.


Found with 11.2388. From Zawiyet el-Aryan, grave 144. 1910-11: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt. (Accession date: October 19, 1911)
