Straight sided beaker with tubular handles

Start collecting

It is a tapering beaker with vertical handles. The stone is fine-grained and brown-veined. The base is flat, and the rim is rolled and everted. Handles are modeled on the shoulders. The surface is worn. It is broken and mended. Small fragments are missing from the rim.

From Zawiyet el-Aryan, grave 113. 1910-11: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt. (Accession date: October 19, 1911)
