Stelophoros statuette of a man

Start collecting

Statue of a striding male figure with his hands outstretched. There is a lotus between his arms and a round-topped pillar in front. The back is Inscribed on both sides and on three faces of the pillar. The head and feet are missing. The surface is polished, but worn.

From Semna, Taharqa Temple, Room Q. 1924: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan. (Accession date: April 1, 1924)
