Stele of Seyepet

This stele portrays the Hereditary Prince, Nomarch, and King's Sealer, Seyepet, striding forward toward the right. While Sayepet's figure is rendered in raised relief, the offering formula is in sunk relief. There are remains of color.

Provenance

From Sheikh Farag, grave 532, debris. 1923: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
