Statuette of kneeling man

Ivory statuette of a kneeling man wearing a kilt, with one arm set on his lap and the other bend across chest. The head is missing. There is considerable darkening/discoloration. Some areas of the surface are chipped or scuffed/worn. There are some remaining well polished areas.


From Abydos, temple M69. 1903: excavated by William Matthew Flinders Petrie for the Egypt Exploration Fund, assigned to the Egypt Exploration Fund in the division of finds by the government of Egypt, received by the MFA through subscription to the Egypt Exploration Fund. (Accession Date: January 1, 1903)
