Obverse: Head of Athena to left, wearing earring and Corinthian helmet with lotus-flower design and thick crest. Border of dots. Reverse: Bearded head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin; square incuse.

Said to be from the Celenderis Hoard; by 1958: with AG. Leu & Co., Bahnhofstrasse 32, Zurich, Switzerland and Adolph Hess AG., Haldenstrasse 5, Lucerne, Switzerland (Hess-Leu auction, Hotel Schweizerhof, Lucerne, April 2, 1958, lot 240); purchased at Hess-Leu auction on behalf of MFA by Spink & Son, Ltd., 5, 6 & 7 King Street, St. James's, London, S.W. 1; June 5, 1958: purchased by MFA from Spink & Son, Ltd. for 12,800 Swiss francs (this is the total price for 58.515-58.519)
