Steatite scarab with glaze lost. Naturalistic back type. Base inscribed "King of Upper and Lower Egypt, Psamtik (Psammetichus), beloved of Ptah, south of his wall. Base broken along the left side.


By 1967: Horace L. Mayer (d. 1968) collection; given to the MFA by Horace L. Mayer December 1, 1967.
