Relief of Attis or Mithras

Start collecting

In high-relief appliqué, the figure is Attis, Mithras, or (less likely) a winter season. He wears a hooded cape, sleeved tunic, leggings, but seems to have bare feet. The back is partly hollow, grooved. Green patina with earth encrustation. Perhaps from Phyrgia.
