Red-ware pot with lid

Phrygian "red-ware" pot. Handles on body have movable rings attached (based on metal prototypes like bronze cauldrons found at Gordion). Cover has two S-shaped pieces meeting to form handle. Perfect condition.

Said to be from Gordion. By 1960: Mrs. C.C. Vermeule, Jr. collection (purchased in Istanbul); 1960: given to the MFA by Mrs. C.C. Vermeule, Jr.
