Persephone or a Muse

Start collecting

The statuette was about one third life-size. The hair, done up into a large knot on the crown, is summarily worked. The face is badly injured, or even possibly unfinished. The unfinished aspects stem from the grooves in the hair and around the base of the knot on the top.

Presumably from Athens, or at least Greece or the islands.
