Trefoil mouth, strap handle ending in a bar with two knobs at the lip. On the body, large lion heads in relief. On the shoulder, a row of elongated bosses. On the back of the handle, a dog couchant. Much mended.

By 1875: in a public collection in Chiusi; sold at public sale in Florence to J. J. Dixwell (said to be from Chiusi); gift of J. J. Dixwell to MFA, March 1876
