A youth and a maiden standing on either side of a stele. The youth, at the left, stands with body slightly turned towards the stele, and head in profile. He carries a long spear. The maiden stands in profile, wears Ionic chiton. Her right arm falls in front of her; her left arm is bent at the elbow.

Provenance

By 1893: with Mr. de Caix de Saint-Aymour in Paris (said to have been found in the island of Euboea, at Eretria); purchased from him by an Anonymous donor; Anonymous gift to MFA, March 1893
