This miniature bowl, from a set of eighty model vessels, was a substitute for an actual full-size vessel. One of five models of deep bowls (27.1483 to 27.1487, or 27-5-30 to 27-5-34). Flat bottom, straight sides, round rim.

From Giza, G 7440 Z. 1927: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; 1927: assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt. (Accession Date: May 27, 1987)
