Late Old Kingdom tombs at Giza featured groups of model food offerings. This is a model of a loaf of bread in the form of a flat, elongated oval. It accompanied a wide selection of other offerings in the form of food and beverages.

From Giza, tomb G 4733 E. February, 1914: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; 1921: assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt.
