Model of a bull

The head and body of this standing bull were carved from a single piece of wood, while the legs, tail, ears and horns were added separately. Plaster was used to mask the joints.


From Asyut, tomb 14 (Wepwawetemhat). 1904: purchased by Albert M. Lythgoe in Egypt for the MFA with funds from the Emily Esther Sears Fund.
