Fine white clay; blue-green glaze; mouth and body covered with bands of decoration in dark brown and green on white ground; most of body broken away.

Provenance

From Abydos, Tomb K 2 (?). (N.B. Peet, Cemeteries of Abydos II, p. 54, says tomb K 2 is Middle Kingdom in date and he mentions no vase of this type). 1909: excavated by William Matthew Flinders Petrie for the Egypt Exploration Fund, assigned to the Egypt Exploration Fund in the division of finds by the government of Egypt, received by the MFA through subscription to the Egypt Exploration Fund. (Accession Date: October 1, 1909)
