Globular vase, low neck and flaring lip; with handle (incomplete) surmounted by a man raised on his hands; elongated open spout with bulbous base attached to the side of vase and surrounded with a ring of large bosses; decoration of incised spirals. Green patina. Hole in side.

Provenance

From Luristan, 1930: purchased by the MFA through Mr. Upham Pope.* (Accession date: August 7, 1930) *Ninety-five objects, numbered 30.544-30.637 were purchased as a group for $15,000, plus a $2250 commission.
