Large spoon/scoop

This is a large grain scoop or spoon wood with a short ornamented handle of two roughly triagular (with rounde corners) segments. The outer edges of the scoop component are chipped, but overall the object is in good condition.

From Kerma, tomb Su.983. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan. (Accession Date: December 4, 1913)
