An ovoid lamp decorated with a deer in low relief, running, surrounded by a circlet of flowers on the flat shoulders. Made of orange clay. From the vicinity of Kos.

According to MFA Register of Pottery and Porcelain, no. 5, one of a group of objects (87.422-87.434): all from Cos and the neighboring islands; by date unknown: with M. A. Carandonis; purchased by MFA from M. A. Carandonis, December 6, 1887, for $ 110.00 (this is the total price for MFA 87.422-87.437)
