Kohl jar

This jar features a narrow neck and flaring rim. The base is flat and splayed, and the rim is flattened and everted. The lid is disc shaped. It is complete. Associated with lid (19.1570), which is a Nubian import.

Provenance

From Khor Nugdy (ASN 69/61). 1908. Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
