Ivory inlay of a triangle and two leaves (lotus petals?)

Two of these three ivory inlay pieces are shaped as leaves, while one takes a slightly curved trapezoidal shape. The latter retains traces of white plaster coating on one side. The tip of one leaf has broken off and is missing.


From Kerma, K1600C3. January 1914: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan. (Accession Date: March 1, 1920)
