This bronze bell is of low, wide, bowl-shaped proportions with four incised lines around its body. A top element with suspension ring is a a separate component. The clapper is missing.

Provenance

From Meroe, Pyr. N 20. 1921: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan. (Accession date: December 21, 1924)
