Head from a statue of an official, wearing an elaborate wig, earrings and a short beard. The almond shaped eyes and full, sharply defined lips are characteristic of the reign of Amenhotep III.

Probably from Thebes. 1907: purchased for the MFA in Luxor by Joseph Lindon Smith. Contributed to the MFA collection on November 14, 1907. (Accession Date: November 14, 1907)
