Head of a mummy case

This plaster face of a man was a component of a mummy case. It was gilded with black painted hair and inlaid eyes. The left ear was broken off but has been reattached. Some paint has flaked off the surface.

By 1903: with Edward P. Warren; 1903: purchased by the MFA from Edward P. Warren with the Bartlett Collection. (Accession Date: January 1, 1903)
