Glass bead in the shape of a man's head

Start collecting

Bearded archaic head, worn as a pendant to a necklace. Flesh white, hair and beard bright blue, with a row of dark blue curls across the forehead; eyebrows dark blue; lips and earrings yellow. Many fragments from back and tip of right ear missing.

By 1901: with E. P. Warren (according to Warren's records: Bought in Athens: certainly from Thebes.); purchased by MFA from E. P. Warren, December 1901
