Fragmentary head of a prince or princess

Start collecting

Fragmentary portrait head of a member of the Amarna royal family. Traces of red and black paint remain on the lips, nostrils and eyes. Although the nose and the left side of the face are missing, the sculpture is a fine example of the sculptural style of the Amarna period.

By 1976: with Nicolaos Koutoulakis, Geneva; purchased by the MFA from Nicolaos Koutoulakis September 8, 1976.
