The stone is light-colored and has a fine texture. There is a kneeling male figure in sunkend relief. He is depicted in profile, facing the left. No trace of color remains. The lower corner is missing.

Way through London dealers Rollin and Feuardent, 27 Haymarket); 1872: given to the MFA by Samuel's son, C. Granville Way. (Accession date: June 28, 1872)
