Fragment of hippo

Blue glazed faience fragment of a hippo. The fragment is part of the back and the hind quarters of the hippo. There is floral decoration in dark blue. The fragment is broken and mended. AKRM-20.

From Nubia, Kerma, KIII. December, 1913: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Sudan.
